About

Devenish Press began publishing in 1998 with Tom Quinn Kumpf’s book, Children of Belfast.  As an Irish American and Vietnam veteran working in conflict resolution, Tom was concerned about the trans-generational effects The Troubles were having on the children in Northern Ireland. By combining his essays and photographs, he created a documentary work that has won wide acclaim and several awards.

Other books about Ireland concern travel, legends, myths, and the Otherworld. A poetry book by Tom Quinn Kumpf, Two Sides: Haiku and Other Words, displays photography in a Japanese sumi-e painting style with haiku poetry. Weekend Watercolor Workshops by Molly Davis includes a history of watercolor, lists of supplies, and instruction/demonstration of plein air watercolor painting in association with nine principles of physics.
